A to-do list that rewards you

Updated October 27, 2026 ยท By the IRLXP team

A to-do list that rewards you gives each task a point value, adds the points into a level and lets you spend them on rewards you choose. In IRLXP, completing a task earns XP for one of four skills, with quick templates for common tasks and an import from Apple Reminders.

Why plain to-do lists fade

Checking a box feels good for a moment, but there is no sense of progress over weeks. Adding XP, levels and rewards gives you a reason to open the list tomorrow.

How to make a rewarding to-do list

  1. Value tasks by effort. Quick tasks earn a few points; tasks you have been avoiding earn more.
  2. Group tasks by skill. Work tasks feed Wealth, study feeds Intelligence, errands for your family feed Happiness, and so on.
  3. Set real rewards. Decide what a pile of points buys: a coffee out, a lazy day, a new game.
  4. Review weekly. Look at your totals and drop tasks that never get done.

How it works in IRLXP

IRLXP's Tasks screen is a to-do list that pays XP. Use quick templates for common tasks, or import your existing lists from Apple Reminders so you do not retype anything. Each completed task adds XP to your character, and XP also earns coins you can spend in the Coin Shop on rewards you set yourself. Habits, tasks, friends and duels all live in the same app, free, with no ads. It works offline, and an optional free account syncs iPhone, iPad and the web.
